MARIAH CAREY - CAREY STAYS ON TOP OF THE SINGLES CHART

MARIAH CAREY's grip on the US charts continues, with the singer's hit single WE BELONG TOGETHER notching a 12th week at the top of the Billboard Hot 100.

The track's reign was interrupted for just one week by AMERICAN IDOL winner CARRIE UNDERWOOD's INSIDE YOUR HEAVEN in June (05).

The ballad has racked up 13 consecutive weeks on top of the Hot R+B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, and is also number one on the Hot Ringtones tally for a fourth successive week.

Carey's latest single SHAKE IT OFF looks set to be a potential challenger for the top spot after jumping from 12th to sixth place in its fifth week on sale.

In second place is the PUSSYCAT DOLLS' DON'T CHA featuring BUSTA RHYMES, followed by RIHANNA's PON DE REPLAY and BOW WOW's LET ME HOLD YOU.
