KATE BOSWORTH - BOSWORTH INSPIRED BY KATHARINE HEPBURN

KATE BOSWORTH used Hollywood great KATHARINE HEPBURN as the inspiration for her portrayal of LOIS LANE in SUPERMAN RETURNS.

The 22-year-old, who is screen hunk ORLANDO BLOOM's on-off girlfriend, wanted to bless the famous Daily Planet reporter with Hepburn's unique blend of strength and fragility.

And she fully immersed herself in screenings of Hepburn's greatest performances as she prepared to begin filming in Australia with THE USUAL SUSPECTS film-maker BRYAN SINGER.

She says, "I watched a lot of Katharine Hepburn to prepare for Lois, particularly THE PHILADELPHIA STORY and GUESS WHO'S COMING TO DINNER.

"Hepburn is a great model for how I see Lois - strong but fragile."
