U2 frontman BONO has only just started to enjoy performing live after 25 years in the music business.

The VERTIGO star admits he has always dreaded U2 shows over the years, and was often rendered speechless with fear before facing his thousands of fans.

But now Bono feels hitting the stage is so much a part of his identity, he 'meets' himself as soon as he starts rocking out.

He says, "This sounds odd, but I've never looked forward to a U2 show before.

"I remember some times not being able to speak before a show and going to quiet places trying to reserve energy.

"Now, mostly I wake up in the morning, going, 'There's some people I wanna meet tonight, and one of them's myself."
