TROY - BESSON MADE KRUGER CRY

TROY star DIANE KRUGER launched her acting career after an emotional meeting with director LUC BESSON left her in tears.

The German-born actress met the FIFTH ELEMENT film-maker when she was a young teenager and working as a model in Paris, France.

She recalls, "I was 16, didn't speak any French and didn't know what he was looking for.

"Instead of asking me to read, he told me this really sad story in English. I was very timid and intimidated by him and this sad story, so I began to cry.

"But he said, 'I think you should be an actor rather than a model.'"
