An ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER's musical about how soccer transcends the troubles in Northern Ireland is set to be made into a film.
British comedian and writer BEN ELTON, who wrote the musical about rock band QUEEN called WE WILL ROCK YOU, is set to write a screen play based on THE BEAUTIFUL GAME.
Elton says, "If I get the go ahead, I'll write the screenplay. But waiting for the green light for a good screenplay is like Waiting for Godot."
