THE OC - BARTON STILL FEELS BRITISH

THE OC actress MISCHA BARTON still feels very connected to her British roots despite being predominantly raised as an American.

Barton, whose father is British and mother is Irish, was raised in London until she was five years old, when her family moved to New York.

The 18-year-old says, "I still feel very connected to Britain and Ireland. I definitely have a more British sense of humour - Brits have a dry, sarcastic wit.

"And I love London. And I usually go at least once a year, but I sometimes wish it felt more like home. I started crying the last time I took a bus in London: I got totally lost and was upset because I couldn't navigate the place I was born."
