MISCHA BARTON - BARTON HINTS AT MARISSA 'EXPLOSION'

Hollywood beauty MISCHA BARTON is warning THE OC fans to be prepared for an "explosive" season two opening of hit TV show as her character loses her cool.

The British-born actress' character MARISSA COOPER experienced a wide range of family and boyfriend problems during the first season and is heading for meltdown in the new series.

Barton says, "I can't really give much away. My character's very angry right now, dealing with her living situation and her family and everything.

"It's sort of like she was left to the wolves, too. She spent the whole summer with no RYAN, no one to talk to. Her frustration has been building up and now it explodes in the first episode. I think it's really awesome."

The OC season two debuts on America's FOX network on 4 November (04).
