ANTONIO BANDERAS is a crack shot when it comes to movie shootouts, but the DESPERADO star is terrified of guns in real life.

The Spaniard refuses to have guns in his home because he hates to think he'd ever need to use one for real.

He says, "I have learned to use guns but I don't believe in guns. I don't have guns in my house. I don't want to practice with guns in my own personal life. I don't even like to go to a place and just shoot a target."

Banderas admits he picks up skills easily for movie roles - but has never taken anything home as a hobby, because he prefers to leave anything he has learned for a film role on the set.

He adds, "I have done practically everything but surfing. I box in my new movie (THE LEGEND OF ZORRO) but I'm not interested in punching another guy. I have learned many things, like driving a car in a specific way and sliding the car here and there, and sword fighting.

"I have learned horse riding during movies but I don't do it in my personal life. I don't have horses in Hollywood. I learn a lot of skills as an actor that I use for movies but not in my personal life.

"People think actors become what they see - I have two cats but I don't call them Puss 'n Boots, like my character in SHREK. I don't allow my profession to get into my personal life."
