Actor SEAN ASTIN has become the latest THE LORD OF THE RINGS hobbit to join the cast of a hit TV show, after signing on to help KIEFER SUTHERLAND battle terrorists in the fifth season of 24.
Astin will play one of Sutherland's right hand men on the show's Counter Terrorism Unit and will be a regular.
Astin's The Lord Of The Rings co-star DOMINIC MONAGHAN has already tasted TV success with hit drama LOST.
