BARBERSHOP - ANDERSON THANKS FANS FOR THEIR SUPPORT
BARBERSHOP star ANTHONY ANDERSON has thanked his fans for the support they showed him as he battled rape charges.
A woman seeking a job as an extra on the set of the funnyman's movie HUSTLE AND FLOW in Memphis, Tennessee, claimed Anderson and director WAYNE WITHERSPOON attacked her in an onset trailer.
The plaintiff also alleged she was forced to have sex with both men over a period of several days before the reported rape took place in July (04).
But in court last week (ends08OCT04), a Tennessee judge said the accuser's testimony did not produce probable cause to let the
charges stand and that the woman's testimony was the most "incredulous" he had ever heard.
Anderson says, "It's been a rough year for me but (my fans') prayers and support's what kept me and my family going."
Anderson still faces another lawsuit in Los Angeles by a woman who claims the actor sexually assaulted her on the set of his cancelled TV series ALL ABOUT THE ANDERSONS.
