Hunky actor DENZEL WASHINGTON credits his good looks with his Hollywood success.
The TRAINING DAY star finds it difficult to accept his sex symbol status, but admits movie directors would never have given him a chance if he'd been ugly.
He explains, "Would I have got this far if I had been pig ugly? This sex symbol thing is a bit hard for me to figure out.
"You know, when I was at high school, I only had one girlfriend. No one wanted to go out with me."
