AVRIL LAVIGNE - LAVIGNE WANTS TO BE TREATED LIKE A WOMAN

Rocker AVRIL LAVIGNE hopes people will start to treat her like an adult now she has turned 20.

The COMPLICATED singer, who ended her teenage years last Monday (27SEP04), is fed-up with being spoken and written about as a child and wants fans to accept her new grown-up outlook.

She says, "It was like when I wore a dress for a photo shoot.

"Okay, so I don't wear a dress every day and that was the first dress I wore in my career, but I'm 20.

"It's like when I was pictured with COURTNEY LOVE at the WORLD MUSIC AWARDS (15SEP04) I went over and we sat in the same booth.

"It was no big deal, but of course everyone wants it to be a big deal."
