AMERICAN IDOL winner FANTASIA has been given a career boost on her debut album thanks to MISSY ELLIOT, JERMAINE DUPRI, RODNEY JERKINS and R KELLY.

In a first for an Idol winner, Fantasia has secured collaborations and production from three huge names for her new album FREE YOURSELF.

Elliott penned the title track and another called SELFISH, while Dupri wrote GOT ME WAITING for the singer.

A thrilled Fantasia says, "I can't believe they're writing songs just for me."

Jerkins insists Fantasia isn't just a reality show phenomenon: "She's a young ARETHA FRANKLIN/MARY J BLIGE all rolled up into one.

"She will definitely have a career because she definitely has the attitude and the pipes to pull it off. She has it. And I look to work with her again in the future. I think the chemistry's there and I think we're gonna create."

Fantasia's new album will be released next month (NOV04).
