50 CENT - 50 CENT SLAMS DOUBLE STANDARDS

Heavyweight rapper 50 CENT has slammed the criticism levelled at his movie GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN', because Hollywood is allowed far more freedom than hip-hop.
The IN DA CLUB hitmaker insists rap stars are unfairly scrutinised for their violent content when studios can use violent imagery to market their blockbusters without whipping up a media frenzy.
He says, "There are standards that are placed on music that aren't placed on any other forms of entertainment.
"You haven't seen a gun or a weapon on the cover of a CD since probably 1997 with KRS-ONE's CRIMINAL MINDED.
"Any CD distributed by a major company isn't going to do that.
"But if we walk into our local Blockbuster, we'll find guns and knives and anything else you can use as a weapon used as a marketing tool."
