Rap star 50 CENT has been accused of stealing lyrics for his 2003 smash hit IN DA CLUB from a song by former 2 LIVE CREW star LUTHER CAMPBELL.

Attorney RICHARD C WOLFE filed the copyright infringement suit against 50 Cent, real name CURTIS JAMES JACKSON, in Florida's Miami Federal Court last week (ends 21JAN06) on behalf of Lil' Joe Wein Music.

Parts of In Da Club allegedly plagiarise 1994 release IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY. The accused rapper's 2003 DVD 50 CENT THE NEW BREED also reportedly features sections of another Campbell song I LIKE IT, I LOVE IT without permission.

50 Cent faces paying up unspecified damages in addition to legal fees.
