Video Interview

We recently caught up with Sam & Henry of Zero 7, at their record label headquarters, to talk about their brand new album 'The Garden'.

Zero 7 aka Sam Hardaker and Henry Binns, release their stunning third album, "The Garden", in May.

Recorded mainly in the Somerset countryside, at Henry's home studio, "The Garden" was written and produced by Zero 7 and mixed with Phill Brown, (Brian Eno / Talk Talk). Some recording was also done at The Hospital studio in London with Nigel Godrich.

This album sees Zero 7 take a more playful, sunny, upbeat musical direction, whilst still maintaining their trademark sound and could well turn out to be the perfect soundtrack to the summer.

José González, whose honeyed vocals perfectly compliment Zero 7's lush sound, features on four tracks, the limited edition first single, "Futures", "Left Behind", "Today" and a reworking of "Crosses" from his own album, "Veneer".

Long time cohort Sia Furler sings solo on three tracks, "The Pageant Of The Bizarre", "You're My Flame", "If I Can't Have You" and the first commercial single "Throw It All Away", She also duets with Zero 7's own Henry Binns on "This Fine Social Scene" and "Waiting To Die". Henry also sings solo on one track, "Your Place". There is an instrumental, entitled "Seeing Things".
