'Woman', due for release July 10th, is Wolfmother's biggest single to date. The main riff is the kind of high octane, ear-splitting ace we're used to from the Aussie rockers, but it's around the 1 minute 30 seconds mark where the guitar line goes off on a completely unexpected direction and the keyboards kick in, that the track really takes off to the stratosphere.

Before they set foot on our shores in April, Wolfmother had already sold out their July headline show at London's Astoria, three months in advance.

Elsewhere in the world things are ticking over quite nicely for the three young men from down under. In Australia they've been hanging out in the Top 10 for 23 weeks. Most recently the band have been invited to play dates with Sonic Youth and The Flaming Lips. In addition, album track 'Love Train' has been chosen as the title music to the new iPod advert, which is currently airing in USA, Canada and Australia.

Accompanying video from Alex & Martin is the cherry on the Woman cake. Every single frame of the video was colour photocopied leaving an entire warehouse full of paper ready for rescanning and manipulation. The result is one of the most exciting rock performance videos of recent times. Pushed to the edge, with this combination of old and new technologies, the video is certainly eye-catching.

Wolfmother are: Wolfmother are Andrew Stockdale (guitar & vocals), Chris Ross (bass & organ) and Myles Heskett (drums).
