White Rose Movement return in with a new double-A sided single and a handful of UK live shows in September. With critical praise for their debut album Kick still ringing in their ears, and a rapturously received US tour, plus stunning performances at SxSW and Coachella, under their belts, WRM are in fine form and ready to take on all comers.
White Rose Movement exploded on to the scene with two of 2005's outstanding singles - 'Alsatian' and 'Love Is A Number' - and have been building a loyal fanbase through relentless touring and support slots with the likes of Bloc Party, The Rakes and Soulwax. The London-via-Norfolk quintet then delivered their debut album Kick in April which established them as the band most likely to unite Kerrang kids, indie scenesters and switched on clubbers in a blaze of bass driven, electro fried, rock 'n' roll.
Jasper Milton (guitar), Finn Vine (vocals/guitar), Taxxi (keyboards), Owen Dyke (bass) and Ed Harper (drums), resolutely refuse to be boxed into anyone category, and new double-A sided single 'London's Mine / Testcard Girl' is testament to this. 'London's Mine' combines throbbing bass and scything guitars to create a thrilling call to arms, whilst 'Testcard Girl''s glacial synths and anthemic chorus show that the NME weren't wrong when they described WRM as "The sound of Depeche Mode slipping a hand down The Rapture's trousers".
