If you like the delicious, pop melodies and sharp lyrics of the likes of Killers and Kaiser Chiefs, you'd better add this album to your collection. This New York based three-piece are a quirky bunch sporting floppy haircuts and ill-advised facial hair. You'll probably recognise the radio-friendly single Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt - the first track on this irresistible debut album. Its hooky chorus showcases Keith Murray's charmingly boyish vocal style and sets the agenda for the rest of this very commercial album.

With Love & Squalor is an engaging, energetic blend of fuzzy, retro guitars, thumping bass and well crafted tunes. It's exactly the kind of danceable guitar rock that's everywhere at the moment, but it has just enough American sunshine and optimism to prevent it from being just another Franz wannabee.
