Re-Offender video/Tour
Travis
are pleased to announce the details of their new single ‘Re-Offender’,
a poignantly beautiful love song about being trapped in a
brutal relationship. This is the first single to be taken
from their much-anticipated fourth album and the band’s first release since 2001's
landmark LP "The Invisible Band”. “Re-Offender” has
been produced by the band and Tchad Blake.
In the past, Travis have addressed the politics of relationships,
love and life itself, but now they direct their sights at
both domestic and global concerns. Travis do not claim to
be the experts, but with all the significant World events
which have dominated everyone's minds since they last put
pen to paper for the Invisible Band, Travis believe they
have the responsibility to document injustice, it would be
almost impossible to ignore it.
As a direct response to going on
anti-war marches in London and Glasgow, Fran recently contributed
an acoustic version
of the track "The Beautiful Occupation" to the
War Child album "Hope", released to raise awareness
and funds for the innocent victims of the war in Iraq.
Almost a year on from drummer Neil Primrose's horrific accident
in France, the band are once more back playing live. June
saw the band play an intimate show in Blackburn and the following
night witness a triumphant return to Scotland and Edinburgh's
Usher Hall in aid of the famine relief charity Concern. The
band debuted four new songs at the show including Re-Offender
and Definition of Wrong. |
