‘Mundaya’ is Tim Deluxe’s next release from his well received album ‘The Little Ginger Club Kid.’ When I first heard this track I felt it wasn’t very original. It seemed to have the usual predictable pumping house beat and atmospheric build up to get you raving. However it’s a great tune to drive to. It has lots of wonderful samba rhythms and Eastern bongo beats to let your mind drift along happily. The vocals are what really captivate you. Shahin Badar made a name for herself on Prodigy’s ‘Smack Your Bitch Up’ and is equally enchanting on this record. I love the world feel on this track. It’s progressive in that it’s using world flavours and creates an effective house track, however it uses the same tried and tested formula of house music to make it quite predictable.
