The Wombats
Lost in the Post / Patricia the Stripper
Single Review

It appears that the north has been some what of a resurrection over the past couple of years with the likes of The Kaiser Chiefs, The Zutons and The Arctic Monkeys smashing their way up the charts and the happy go lucky boys that make up The Wombats might just join them at the top of the class in the next northern generation from the school of indy-rock.

Lost in The Post is a jingly jangly, toe tapping tune that resonance to something that might have been produced by their Liverpudlian forefathers, The La's ten years ago, with both bands having the ability to put a smile on your face and bounce in your step with their cheerful melodies.

Patricia the Stripper is perhaps a little bit quirkier and has bit more of a rock edge to it but is by no means less entertaining or enjoyable.
