The Vines first album, "Highly Evolved", was released to major sales and massive critical acclaim in the summer of 2002. A hectic touring schedule took its toll on the band and particularly the band's singer/songwriter, Craig Nicholls. Over the course of the next year, Craig's erratic behaviour created a feeling of animosity towards the band that saw the band release their under-rated second album ("Winning Days", released March '04) to widespread vitriol from the press. The band imploded on stage in Sydney at a live to air concert in May '04, which saw them receiving a lifetime ban from Australia's largest commercial radio station. The gig ended prematurely when bass player Patrick Matthews walked off stage, quitting the band mid gig to catch the bus home. Shortly afterwards, Nicholls was diagnosed as suffering from the neurological disorder Asperger Syndrome. This was followed by a long period of readjustment for Nicholls and the band.

In September 2005, the band went into a tiny studio in central Sydney with Australian producer Wayne Connolly (long time producer for Aussie legends You Am I) and recorded a set of tracks that Craig had written in a spurt of creativity during the previous couple of months. The result is the third album, "Vision Valley", released in the UK on Heavenly Recordings on April 3rd 2006 - 13 tracks of totally distinctive scatter-gun punk, hazy summer pop and pastoral psychedelic rock which runs collectively at no more than 30 minutes.

This is the first track from the album, "Gross Out", 70 odd seconds of primal scream therapy set to music. It is released as a download only on 27th March 2006.
