The band’s rise has been nothing short of amazing since they were handpicked last year by MichaelEavis to play at Glastonbury. They’ve supported
Oasis, Razorlight and TheOrdinaryBoys, headlined the year’s most raucous music event The Camden Crawl and headlined XFM’sXmasParty
(FranzFerdinand did it the year before). Eavis has invited TheSubways back to Glastonbury to play the prestigious FridayMainStage opening slot that catapulted
TheDarkness to fame.
The band are loved by the UK music press with NME, Q,TheGuardian, TheSun, TheFly, Rocksound amongst
the many names who have tipped them as one to watch. On TV, ZaneLowe is a massive fan and both singles – ‘OhYeah’ and ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Queen’ – have
been Top 5 hits on the NME/MTV2 chart show. SteveLamacq has also been hugely supportive of the band.
Having recently completed a sold-out 35-date UK tour, an Oasis support and a support at Embrace’s massive hometown gig in Leeds, the summer will also see
the trio tour with Weezer as well as play further festival dates at Reading, Leeds, IsleOfWight, T In The Park and Guilfest.
And if that wasn’t enough success for the band, they are now set to be signed to SireRecords by SeymourStein. Stein’s legendary signings include
Madonna, TheRamones and TalkingHeads.
