| The
Streets have announced they are to play a secret gig almost two months
before their debut UK tour.
The gig will take place in London on the 12th September but no tickets will be on sale for it. In fact, the only way you can get tickets is to try and win them at www.the-streets.co.uk Lucky winners will be treated to the full Streets
live experience before anyone else and after the Carling weekend
at Reading and Leeds it is obvious Mike Skinner has successfully
transferred his bedroom produced album to the live arena. A rapturous
reception at both festivals saw a suprised Skinner announce "They
knew all the words!". The track is the fourth single to be taken from The Streets gold selling debut album Original Pirate Material. The single, a raw and amusing tale of Skinners mates telling him not to make a fool of himself over a girl he fancies, was recorded after a drunken night out with his best mate Calvin Schmalvin, who features on vocals. |
