Naomi Watts, who starred in the smash hit horror thriller "The Ring," returns to star as investigative reporter Rachel Keller in the sequel, "The Ring 2."

"The Ring 2" will mark the feature film directorial debut of award-winning commercial director Noam Murro.

Ehren Kruger, who scripted the first film wrote the sequel, which is being produced by Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald, the producers of "The Ring."

Neil Machlis and Roy Lee are serving as executive producers. Reuniting with Naomi Watts in the main cast is David Dorfman, who will reprise the role of Rachel's son, Aidan.
