Having been around for a few years now, this single from New Yorkers The National is likely to propel them into the mainstream of pop/rock and find them a place in the CD collections of students everywhere. The opening bars sound strikingly like Where You End from Moby's excellent Hotel album, but the track soon breaks into a swell of jangling indie guitar.

Listening to Matt Berniger sing I'm reminded of the casual vocal delivery of 90s golden boy Evan Dando, which is an indication of the move towards a much lighter feel to this track than exists in most of their work so far.
