The Music release a new single, Getaway, through Hut Recordings on November 18th. Taken from their debut self titled album which reached number 4 in the album charts at the start of September and has currently sold just under 100,000 copies in the UK alone, Getaway will be available on both 7” and enhanced CD featuring the video.

Produced by Jim Abbiss who has worked with the likes of DJ Shadow and Bjork, the single will be deleted on the day of its release.

The last twelve months have witnessed the meteoric rise of The Music. Having released The People EP in April the band embarked on their first headline tour of the UK. By the end of September the band had scored a top 20 single with Take The Long Road And Walk It, a top 5 album with their eponymous debut, completed an extensive sold out UK tour culminating in euphoric shows at London’s Astoria and a home town return at Leeds’ Blank Canvas and announced a January tour taking in the likes of Glasgow Barrowlands and the Brixton Academy.

The summer months also saw them perform to packed tent audiences at the Glastonbury, T in the Park and the Reading festivals. Additionally, the band have also recently returned from a sold out Japanese tour including a mesmerising performance at the Fuji Rock Festival infront of 6000 adouring fans in the festivals tent arena. The album has currently sold just over 100,000 copies in Japan.
