It’s
almost impossible to escape the controversy surrounding the
Libertines. Arrests, jail time, drugs, rehab, explosive live “gorilla” performances
in London and a missing member in US touring. But beyond
all the drama that threatens to overshadow the Libertine’s
music, their records have managed to transcended beyond all
of the gossip-column fodder. On August 31, the Libertine’s
new self-titled sophomore album will be released through
Rough Trade Records. The first single off the album is The
Libertines lead track, “Can’t Stand Me Now.” Check
