Never judge a CD by the cover. This one looked likely to be a scary death metal offering, but it's nothing of the kind. The Knife describe their sound as 'Massive Attack on the Autobahn' and they're not far out. Certainly, the lush and dreamy production is reminiscent of Bristol's finest, while the electronic beats call godfathers of electro Kraftwerk to mind. But there's a moody dance angle to it too in the style of VNV Nation. An intriguing and promising taster from the Swedish duo.
