The Kbc - Pride Before The Fall/Poisonous Emblem (06/02/06 High Voltage) Single Review

The Kbc
Pride Before The Fall/Poisonous Emblem
(06/02/06 High Voltage)

Merging the art/disco thrust of Franz Ferdinand and the gruff indie styling of Hard-Fi, gives this James Mulholland fronted outfit both rhythm and bite. Multi-layered guitars provide urgency and beat to 'Pride Before The Fall' that also has a dose of Led Zeppelin sprinkled over proceedings.

The slower and slightly funky live favourite; 'Poisonous Emblem' is a thudding and hearty crooner, helping us to see why this outfit were personally and individually selected to play at last year's Glastonbury Festival and have been given the thumbs up by Radio 6's Steve Lamacq. The KBC are being as careful as squirrels in the meticulous gathering of material for their forthcoming debut album.
