After The Jam's brilliant but brief career and their shock dissolution in 1983, the Snap! compilation was soon released as a fitting summary of what was then Britain's biggest band. It is also widely accepted as one of the best best-ofs ever.

The compilation's 29 tracks spanned the band's number ones, selected b-sides, fan favourites and rare cuts. Unfortunately, with the dawn of the 78 minute compact disc the tracks were cut to 21 and until now this Compact Snap! has been the only version available.

Not only will this re-released version have all 29 original tracks present, but a limited number will also include the live EP that was included in a limited run of the original vinyl release. The bonus disc features four tracks recorded live at the band's last concert at Wembley Arena in December 1982.
