‘Smoke It’ is the irresistible new single from The Dandy Warhols, released 29 th August.

‘Smoke It’ is classic Dandy’s all the way - part Stones-y rock, part Velvet Underground comedown, part country & western, and all their own. The song’s video features the band performing the song in the Odditorium, their Portland studio, for 40 visibly impressed dogs.

‘Smoke It’ is the first single to be taken from The Dandy Warhols new album ‘Odditorium or Warlords of Mars’, released September 12 th. ‘Odditorium or Warlords of Mars’, their fifth album, is full of the band’s trademark heady mix of seamless rock hooks and sonic experimentalism, spanning turned-on drone rock, country blues, electronic pop and deep psychedelia - all spun through the Dandy’s kaleidoscopic musical palette.

The Dandy Warhols can currently be seen as co-stars of Ondi Timoner’s hit documentary film ‘Dig!’, winner of the Grand Jury Prize Documentary at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival. The film chronicles the uniquely dysfunctional relationship between the Dandy’s and their unpredictable friends the Brian Jonestown Massacre.
