Stuart A. Staples releases his second solo album 'Leaving Songs' on Monday the 29th of May 2006. The beautifully understated debut, 'Lucky Dog Recordings '03-'04' saw Stuart record material from the previous two years at his home studio. 'Leaving Songs' is a collection of songs written over the last year and includes some of Stuart's strongest since Tindersticks' 'Curtains'. With the potential to create something very special, Stuart headed for Mark Nevers' studio in Nashville, accompanied by Dave Boulter, Neil Fraser and drummer Thomas Belhom. Further sessions at Lucky Dog studio featured Tindersticks' stalwart Terry Edwards and longtime collaborator, Gina Foster.

All songs were written and produced by Stuart A. Staples. The album also features duets with Maria McKee ('This Road Is Long') and Lhasa de Sela ('That Leaving Feeling') which will be released as a single on May 15th.
