When StoneBridge joined the Hed Kandi DJ roster two years ago he formed strong bonds with label boss and A&R supremo Mark Doyle. The Hed Kandi culture offered Stonebridge the
support and vision he needed to make “Can’t Get Enough”.
Over the years StoneBridge, has circulated (and remixed) with the cream of the global house scene and it was from his impressive contact list that he hand picked the featured artists on the album. Whether
it’s Ultra Naté, Chris Coco, Julie Morrison or Jay Soul the results represent the fresh qualities StoneBridge has brought to his first major studio album.
With a beating heart and soul at the epicentre of this album StoneBridge has resisted ultra-flash production and made a solid record: “I wanted an album with full songs, not just tracks, because in a
year’s time it will be the songs that are remembered. The spirit could be described as future-retro, but at the same time it is a varied collection because of the many collaborators. I also used a lot of retro gear when recording the album to
make it sound warm and less programmed,” enthuses StoneBridge.
“Put ‘Em High” is the first cut to be lifted from “Can’t Get Enough”. Featuring the gorgeous Therese the track has already caused a storm in clubland and will be
enjoying a commercial release on August 16th, 2004.
