Stardeath and White Dwarfs
Toast And Marmalade For Tea/Chemical
Double a-side Single Review

Not only have the little-known outfit Stardeath and White Dwarfs supported The Flaming Lips, but the comic strip-like artwork for this particular Double a-side was created by Lips' frontman Wayne Coyne.

'Toast And Marmalade For Tea' heads immediately into the striking chorus, with a childlike outlook and psychedelic edge. Think The Beatles meets CBBC and you're probably on the right tracks. 'Chemical' shows a different side to this Oklahoma based three-piece - a jagged guitar line and looped one bar drum rhythm touch on a darker path.

Whilst these two songs hardly set the world alight, there is still enough here to suggest that a full-blown album might be worth your time.
