Soapbox Story is the inspiration of one man, Will Hunt: A singer and a songwriter of innate skill and sublime elegance who follows a long line of great English songwriters such as Elvis Costello, Ray Davies and Paul Weller - songwriters' who have firmly entrenched themselves in our own personal soundtracks. A style where melody and wry everyday observational vignettes combine to create something so vital and poignant that it is hard to remember a time when you did not know these songs, that they weren't a part of your own heart.

Soapbox Story hails from the salubrious surroundings of Kentish Town, a place proudly namechecked in the debut single, Lost & Found, which, with it's almost raggafied ska rhythmic backbone and trumpet solo, sonically somehow creates the busy artful dodger-style chaos and adventures of modern North London life.

Live, Soapbox Story can be intimate and mesmerising with Will on his own with guitar, it can be enchanting and exquisitely captivating as a two piece with Will and violinist Ben Lee or, most stunningly, it can be extraordinary, when the songs swell and strain to their full perfect potential with the complete band featuring guitar, bass, violin, and drums. On record, brass and strings complement and enhance. Many recording artists are known to bolster their most epic tracks with the hiring of an orchestra, not so many write with them in mind.
