Northern Irish rockers Snow Patrol are hoping to expand their worldwide fanbase after recording new music for the upcoming Spider-Man 3 movie soundtrack.

while he's not sure exactly where their track Signal Fire will be included in the film, he's delighted to be associated with the Spider-Man franchise. He says, "Signal Fire will be featured in the trailers and the movie itself.

Internationally "Eyes Open" continues to find Snow Patrol ever-more fans as it breaks the Top 10 in Germany and racks up platinum status in Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Belgium and 3 x platinum in Australia. Back in the UK, the No.1 downloaded album of 2006 has also been voted iTunes Best Alternative Album of the year.
