| Snowblind,
the hotly-tipped Manchester-based duo of Paul Williams and Jane Murphy,
make a keenly-anticipated Independiente album debut on Monday July
8th with “The Falls”.
Originally slated for release last year on Heavenly/EMI, the band have finally emerged on a new label, after Independiente head Andy Macdonald snapped them up earlier this Spring. The duo’s album opener features 11 self-penned/produced Snowblind songs, including the recently released single “Easy Girl". Blending influences as rich and varied as
early Postcard (Aztec Camera/Orange Juice), vintage New Order and
John Barry, Jane (vocals) and Paul (guitars/keyboards) joined forces
in Manchester in 1999 having moved there from Leeds and Liverpool
respectively. |
