spirited life on the road. See www.simpleplan.com
for details. The band's debut album, 'No Pads, No Helmets... Just
Balls' is in stores now and continues to experience soaring sales
in the U.S. resulting in a RIAA Gold certification.
No Pads, No Helmets
Just Balls was recorded at producer Arnold
Lanni's Arnyard Studio in Toronto. The sessions saw Simple Plan making
a pair of trips across the border in order to work with a couple of
musician friends who wanted to be part of the album. First, the band
headed to Buffalo, New York, where they hooked up with Joel Madden
of Good Charlotte, who contributed vocals to 'You Don't Mean Anything'.
In addition, Simple Plan enlisted another friend - Mark Hoppus of
Blink 182 - to lay down backing vocals on 'I'd Do Anything'.
With their high-energy melodies, undeniable hooks
and shout-it-out-loud choruses, Simple Plan are unquestionably one
of the most exciting young bands for 2003.
All in their early twenties, Simple Plan are:
Pierre Bouvier (vocals), Jeff Stinco (lead guitar), David Desrosiers
(bass, backing vocals), Sebastien Lefebvre (guitar, backing vocals)
and Chuck Comeau (drums).
