In February this year, Simple Plan played four sold-out dates in the UK, including a triumphant show at London’s Astoria, and the band will return to our shores in the
summer to play the main stage at the Reading and Leeds festivals. In the meantime Simple Plan will be co-headlining with Good Charlotte on a Stateside tour in May, and band frontman Pierre is currently fronting the
new MTV series ‘Damage Control’.
Still Not Getting Any… was recorded in Simple Plan’s hometown of Montreal with famed producer Bob Rock. Rock, best known for his
work with Metallica, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi and the Cult, traveled to Montreal to record the band in their native surroundings, in order to capture the band’s signature punk/pop sound. ‘Bob Rock has made some of the most important records
of the last fifteen years including Metallica’s The Black Album and Motley Crue’s Doctor Feelgood,’ remarked Simple Plan’s drummer Chuck Comeau. ‘These were records we
loved and grew up listening to. It’s a dream come true that he was willing to travel from Hawaii to Montreal to work with us and produce our new album.’
Simple Plan is Pierre Bouvier (vocals), Chuck Comeau (drums), David Desrosiers (bass, backing vocals), Sebastien Lefebvre
(guitar, backing vocals) and Jeff Stinco (lead guitar). In the last two years the band have shared the stage with everyone from Avril Lavigne to Aerosmith, made appearances on the Vans Warped Tour for three years running (two as
headliners), and been nominated for four MTV Video Music Awards - not bad for five kids who used to tour in their parents’ station wagon.
