from themes of commuter chaos, drugs & sunshine to heart
felt tenderness with clear honesty. Covering some serious
ground while remaining intact as an album “Simple Kid
1” chimes with acoustic guitars, brass punches, synthesized
squelches and even a speak and spell vocal. Although the
album doesn’t manage to sustain its mesmerizing standard
to the last, this is never-the-less a fantastic debut that
defines Simple Kid as the thinking mans pop star with a keen
ear for melody. We await his next move with great interest.
