Recorded with Mark Nevers (Lambchop/Will Oldham) at his home studio in Nashville, I Am The Man is thirteen tracks of heart-stopping soulful folk loveliness. It features White on vocals and guitars and occasional cymbal clash with additional instruments - including brushed drums, tender piano and the prettiest trombone sound this side of Calexico - provided by Nevers' local team. Simone White was born in Hawaii and spent time in Seattle, New York, Paris and London before moving to LA, where she now lives. I Am The Man is her second album and the first to be released by Honest Jons.
