Wildflower will provide the perfect soundtrack to a balmy summer evening, with Crow producing an album of instant classics. Its ten tracks are a set of beautifully crafted songs rich
with soaring choruses, heartfelt lyrics and wonderfully lush orchestration, courtesy of master arranger David Campbell (also father to a certain Beck Hansen).
First single Good Is Good is instantly recognisable as Sheryl Crow, and sees her once again writing with long-time collaborator Jeff Trott,
who also co-penned Everyday Is A Winding Road, If It Makes You Happy and My Favourite Mistake. Trott also plays some Dylan-esque slide guitar on Good Is Good, lending the whole track a mid-tempo
70’s feel.
In November, across only a handful of cities, including London, a very special live show is planned where Sheryl Crow and her band will play a concert of two halves. The first will be a full run through of
Wildflower, complete with a local symphony orchestra, with the second featuring some of Crow’s greatest hits. The show is sure to be a very hot ticket for any Sheryl Crow fan but for those who miss out, a more
extensive tour is planned for 2006.
Wildflower will add to Sheryl Crow’s tally of 25 million record sales around the world to date and comes after 2003’s greatest hits collection, which reached double
platinum status in the UK. Also in the Crow back-catalogue are 1994’s Tuesday Night Music Club, 1996’s Sheryl Crow and 1998’s The Globe Sessions. During her career, Crow has won a Brit Award and a remarkable nine Grammies.
