Liverpool legends Shack release a second single, 'Cup Of Tea', from their critically acclaimed album '...The Corner of Miles And Gil', through Sour Mash Records on 26th June 2006.

'Cup Of Tea' is another moment of lyrical and musical genius from Shack, the life-long natural storyteller Mick Head telling the tale of "a fella, his girl's just left him, he gets a female lodger and she starts spiking his tea with acid." Backed by brand new track 'Lizzie Mallaly', 'Cup Of Tea' has been described as one of the "big, satisfying, swaying Shack classics" that has secured countless fans hearts, including those of Sour Mash label owner Noel Gallagher. Britain's greatest melodic folk-air guitar group throughout the last two decades, recently released '...The Corner of Miles And Gil' was enthusiastically received by the critics and fans as a glorious guitar-soul classic.

Born from promising 80s under-achievers the Pale Fountains, Mick and John Head formed Shack through love of the previous two decades, their melodic, pastoral, mystical harmonies beamed through the infinite rainbow prism of their life-long musical heroes: Love, Nick Drake, Tim Buckley, Sly & The Family Stone, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Harry Nilsson, The Beatles. Back with their original line-up in 2006 (Mick Head, John Head, Iain Templeton and Pete Wilkinson) almost two decades on, Shack are still here, still intact and still in love with truth and beauty.

Following a triumphant tour of the UK earlier this month cited by many as their best performances to date, Shack play Guilfest 2006 on 15th July and the V2006 Festival on 19th August (Chelmsford) and 20th August (Stafford).
