‘Bland Band Boogie’ is a simple attack on ‘talentless’ modern
bands:
“Every time I go out I leave my taste buds behind”.
With a self contraction that even the Manic Street Preachers would have been
proud of, they perform their protest in a bandWagon jumper garage rock, stomping
manner that has been heard as often as Tony Blair has sidestepped a dodgy issue.
However, it is still strangely compelling and the funky, howling B-side DJ’s
in a row, demonstrates SchwaB’s willingness to cross musical boundaries
without the hint of a visa.
