US rock band Saosin are celebrating the news that their hugely-anticipated debut album has crashed straight into the US Billboard charts this week at no.22 selling over 38,000 copies over the counter in just seven days, simultaneously racing into the Billboard Alternative chart at no.6.

Having built up a massive online following, with now over seven million downloads from their MySpace site alone, Saosin are rapidly becoming America's next big band with a huge word-of-mouth buzz resulting in them being one of the most eagerly-awaited bands to catch on the Taste of Chaos world tour which kicks off on Sunday October 8th in Auckland, New Zealand.


And Clear Channel have chosen Saosin to be one of their key artists for the next six months - a sure testament to their explosive live performance, whilst Yahoo are giving massive US exposure to the band as one of their new artist showcases.

EMI Records release the self-titled debut album in the UK on November 6th to coincide with the Taste of Chaos tour hitting the UK. The track 'Bury Your Head' will be released as a digital download single at the end of November with 'Voices' to follow as a fully-released single in early 2007.
