'I'm so tired of America' sings one of Uncle Sam's most unique singer-songwriters, on this, his comeback single. Going to a Town is a big ballad like they used to make 'em, our hero longing to escape to somewhere better, against a stirring backdrop of plaintive piano and soaring strings.
After recently recreating Judy Garland's Carnegie Hall concerts, Rufus Wainwright has gone and written his Somewhere Over the Rainbow, let's hope the album lives up to the promise shown here.
