Following the hugely acclaimed album Dressed Up For The Letdown, Richard Swift gears up for fully fledged success with the release of his second single 'Songs Of National Freedom' an upbeat, bittersweet ragtime ballad. Showcasing Swift's wonderfully jaunty piano hook, working its way around his distinctive vocal style, the Portland-based auteur is a true one off - fearless, timeless and an artist that has pop writing coursing through his veins.

Returning from another stunning performance at this year's SXSW in Texas and a sold out US tour with David Vandervelde, Swift has been on tour the UK as part of the traveling Homefires festival, playing alongside Nina Nastasia, Adem and Elysian Quartet. More summer festival dates have just been confirmed, including Glastonbury, Green Man and V Festivals.

After struggling against the odds for the past few years, Richard Swift is finally getting the accolades he deserves with plays on national Radio 1 by Zane Lowe/Radio 2 Jonathan Ross and, most significantly, Swift has just played Later with Jools Holland after making his UK TV debut on Channel 4's Album Chart Show, in February.
