| 2. Dilated Peoples “Worst Comes To Worst” (12" - Capitol) |
| We haven’t heard anything from Dilated Peoples for quite some time but their silence is soon to be broken. After enjoying an ecstatic response to their debut album over a year ago, the crew are no doubt hoping for a similar reaction to their follow up, “Expansion Team”. The first single to be released from the album, “Worst Comes To Worst” gets them off to a promising start. With an ultra catchy Curtis Mayfield style guitar riff and the unmistakable vocal of Gangstarr’s Guru alongside more solid rapping from MCs Iriscience and Evidence, this is hip-hop at it’s tastiest and most accessible. The B sides “Target Practice is a touch harder but no less impressive. |
